Hamsptead Heath, with its 320 acres of parkland is walkable or a short bus journey away. Here you can enjoy swimming, cycling or just a good walk and a great view of London from the top of Parliament Hill. There are a number of other local parks to escape.

The 02 Centre has a gym and swimming pool.

Local amenities include a theatre, a book store with regular signings and a regular farmers market. With its many green spaces and leafy streets, West Hampstead is a great place for a stroll.

If you fancy venturing out of London for the day, the train will get you to all manner of places from the countryside with its cute village pubs, to Brighton and its Regency houses and pebbled beach.

For those who prefer the scenic route, the famous double decker red bus network has extensive links in the area.
